2. Information We Collect

We collect minimal information to operate the app. Specifically:

Information we do NOT collect

• The content of your ebooks or documents
• Your generated audio files
• Your name, email, or account information
• Your location
• Your contacts or messages

Information that may be collected

• Crash reports and diagnostics: If the app crashes, Android may collect anonymized crash data through Google Play Services to help us improve stability.
• Advertising identifiers: The app may display ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect your advertising ID and usage data in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.

3. Storage Permissions

The app requests access to your device storage solely to:

• Read ebook files (EPUB, PDF, TXT) that you explicitly open or select
• Save generated M4A audiobook files to a dedicated app folder
• Download TTS voice model files you choose to install

We do not read, copy, or transmit any other files on your device.

4. On-Device Processing

All text-to-speech synthesis runs locally using the sherpa-onnx engine embedded in the app. No text content is sent to any external server for processing. Internet access is only used for:

• Downloading optional TTS voice models you choose to install
• Browsing and downloading public domain ebooks from Project Gutenberg
• Searching and downloading public domain ebooks from Open Library / Internet Archive (archive.org)
• Displaying advertisements (Google AdMob)
• Checking for app updates

5. Third-Party Services

The app integrates the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Google AdMob – advertising
• Project Gutenberg – public domain ebook downloads
• Open Library / Internet Archive – public domain ebook search and downloads (via archive.org)
• Google Play Services – app distribution and crash reporting

6. Data Retention

We do not store any personal data on our servers. All app preferences and generated audiobooks remain on your device and can be deleted at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing its data in Android Settings.

7. Children's Privacy

The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through our app, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
